Thread: Denford Starmill Mach3 Converted
Putting my Denford Starmill up for sale which has served me faultlessly over the last few years.
The machine is in very good condition and comes complete with the original enclosure. The electronics and electricals are housed with in the original enclosure which is remote from the milling enclosure.
Comes with a monitor, keyboard, mouse and PC running Mach3. I willbe removing my licence before sale so it will revert back to the basic evaluation version.
The machine runs beautifully and its perfectly accurate. The Spindle has an R8 taper so a ER16 collet chuck can be slotted straight in and way you go. The emergeny stops work as to the home and limit switches, all of which are fully functioning withing mach 3.
I have mainly used the machine for cutting acetal plastic and light cuts in aluminium.
It does not have a coolant system fitted, the nozzle shown in the picture is for directing air to blow away chips, however i'm sure it would be easy to fit coolant.
Runs of a domestic plug and is nice and quiet.
Only point of mention is 3 small drill holes in the bed but these are not really noticeable and do not affect anything.
workable area is approx. 165mm x 100mm x 100mm.
I'm happy to answer any questions.
The machine is very well made and also very heavy so is a 2/3 man lift and would require a small van / estate. I orignally picked it up in a hatchback but would not advise this.
Can be seen working - any trial.
