My name is Jim, another newbie.

I have been assembling parts and building a CNC router over the past few months. Machine size is X = 1100mm, Y = 700mm, Z = 150mm, using 16mm supported rails and 16mm ball screws, 425oz/in nema 23 motors and M542h stepper drivers and 5 axis BOB. There is 2 lead screws on X axis.

The frame is all aluminium construction, 127 x 52mm C section, 12mm ali Plate and 75 x 50 angle.

My router spindle is a 2.2kw water cooled chineese spindle.

The build has been done with no plans, I have just copied what I have seen on you tube etc. With hindsight I would have done a few things differently, but it seems to be OK.

I have now wired up the steppers to my control box and computer, after a few software issues with Mach3 (my fault with pin assignments, not Mach3) they are now running.

I have a couple of questions to ask, but will wait until tomorrow.

Cheers

Jim
