    Hi guys,

I have decided to go ahead and convert my KRV2000 to CNC. No mater how much I would live to just get the ballscrews from XYZ ltd to avoid having to faff about with drawings etc, I am also looking to do the job on a reasonable budget.

To this end, if anyone that has a XYZ 2000 type cnc machine, could tell me the ball screw diameters, it would be most helpfull.

My initial googling came up with 32mm but the 32mm nut does not seem to fit inside the x-y yoke. So I am thinking it may be a 25mm screw.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello all,

For the benefit of the community: I am probably going to be buying my ballscrews from WMH transmissions. They have sent my drawings to Hiwin in Taiwan and with the end machining etc, the rolled ballscrews with zero backlash nuts in 25-05 cost nearly a 3rd of what XYZ wanted. I have asked what C5 accuracy ballscrews would cost. for the same lengths and awaiting a reply.

Even with the machining on both ends, the C7 screws are about the same price as I would source them locally without machining.

If anybody want to have a look at my drawings let me know.

    George
