    I have used these hundreds of times but never taken any notice of power of the motor.

    For drilling holes up to 10mm dia and 60mm deep on 7075 Aluminium, what would be the average power of the motor ?.
    I have seen an old heavy Silex 150w pillar drill for sale, but Im doubting the power.
    3 axis CNC/router / Alu profile frame....25mm Alu Cutting bed X=500mm Y=300mm Z=110mm.....Supported 25mm X rails ....Supported 20mm Y rails....Supported 20mm Z rails.....2.2kw Chinese WC spindle.....     I use this one, 650W, it drills what you want no bother.

    You do though have to take into account the gearing, if the drill chuck is driven through speed change belts, then at lower speed it will increase the torque.
