I have created a drawing in inkscape
its a square border the size of a coaster with a motif in the centre
try as I might I can't get it to load in cut2d or any other software
the square loads ok but not the motif inside
what do I need to change it to and save it as to allow it to open
    many thanks

Spelling mistakes are not intentional, I only seem to see them some time after I've posted

Inscape's native .dxf export isn't very good. Try this one:
    UCCNC 2017 Screenset

    Mach3 2010 Screenset

JointCAM - CAM for Woodworking Joints

its now working it looked like I hadn't converted the image to a proper vector
after about 3 goes it worked
the DXF worked too but I think it is a bit flakey
