    Ok, so I know it's a long shot, but posting this wanted ad on the off chance that someone has a piece of SFU1204 & ballnut lying around .....doesn't have to be that long!

    Have NSK 1404 ground screw about 400 travel
    Have unknown 1204 rolled about 700 travel ( actually measures about 11.6)

    I actually only need about 200m of travel .......it's for a coil winder - nothing like this - http://www.ukcnc.net/F-CNC200mmCW-4.jpg .i.e. mine will be very ugly & small children will point & laugh at the woeful engineering I deploy

    ....since length matters in the CNC world(!) I'm likely gonna end up sourcing from 'the bay', but regardless, is probably a useful thread for other to drop by & see what's out there in the community!
