Thread: 8*4 ,3 axis pointers.

hi ,
i am going to attempt a 3 axis router for the machining of sheet material ,mdf,ply ect.
i would be gratefuls for some tips and guidance for materials required like alluminum extrusion,,,,motor size,bearings type.
would rack and pinion be sufficent for an 8*4 setup ?
also any good websites for materials and friendly prices.. any help would be appreciated.
