    Hi folks,

I have a length of aluminum tube that is 22.23 mm diameter x 1.6256 mm wall thickness.
I want to thread the inside of the tube and machine a bolt / cap for the end.
What size tap and die would you recommend ?
I was thinking a simple 21mm ? But I thought I would ask in case my logic is wrong..

I doubt you will find a 21 mm tap and die
20 mm 1.0mm pitch would work

Hmm some 21 mm taps on eBay but from China
easier to find a 20 mm pair

Thanks Ian.. 20mm would give me near enough a 1 mm internal thread.. so would be fine.

  5. Hi, I have a possible source for a M21 X 1 tap and die, would you like me to take a look tomorrow..? NA Tools America offer us superb deliveries on specials - on average 4-5 days from order receipt.
