    Hi - Has anyone tried one of the bay, Chinese "harmonic 4th axis`s" please. getting tempted by the price!!
    Would welcome any feed back that may be available please. (Using Mach3)

    Not tried these but the harmonic drive is the way to go for zero backlash. What motor does the one you are looking at have?

    The harmonic drive units look good, I chose the belt driven type knowing I'd have to re-engineer it to deal with backlash because I wanted the through-capacity for working on long parts,
