Iv an Emco PC Turn 55 I am retro fitting with Linuxcnc. It comes with a 3 phase AC motor. I can't seem to find the specs of the motor. I'm sure it's either 50hz or 60hz. I have a VFD setup. If I run the motor at 50hz, the spindle is at about 1200rpm on the fastest pulleys. If I double the frequency to say 100hz. Will this damage the motor? Motor bearings will be obviously running hotter but can the increased frequency fry the motor?

I have run a variety of fairly new, good quality Inverter Duty Rated 3 phase motors at 0-200% of plated speed without issues, I ran an Electro-Adda (Italian) 1hp compact frame 2 pole motor at 7000 rpm for extended periods and it's still running.
You think that's too expensive? You're not a Model Engineer are you? :D

Thank you I managed to get the plate on the motor. AEG make some pretty good motors as far as I know.
