Thread: Amateur MEng from Reading

Hi folks.
Did some MEng qualifications with the aim of going career machinist, but life had other ideas, now mostly pottering around as a backstreet mechanic.
Got a pal who's got himself a Boxzy CNC/laser engraver on kickstarter (didn't invest in the 3D printer head as yet, but I'm hoping we can make the machine pay for that...). The machine itself has been gathering dust (still boxed) as he didn't really know what he'd bought into until I started bouncing like a kid at xmas... Anyone have any experience/tips to share with this kit?
All the best
Jay

Not specific to your kit but just do something with it, it doesn't matter what, you'll still be learning.

Thanks, got a few model designs that will sell a few once we've got the quality right. As you say, it just practice for the time being...
