Hi I was wondering if it is possible to route hard wax or will it just melt? I'm only wanting fine details- 3.175 end mill and a v cutter, nothing big.
    Cheers for any advice, Mark.

I remember some time ago that wax was used to do test cuts, so making a mould master seems to be entirely possible.

My son, who trained as a silversmith, now a teacher, has interest in doing this using my cnc machine. He also is excited about 3D printing with a filament designed for lost wax casting, but it does not seem to be available in this country yet, and to import it from USA is stupidly expensive.

On the other hand, some companies that do lost wax casting accept STL files, which could be a better route.

    Cheers,

    Rob
