    Hi all I 've rewired a plasma table I now have a problem now the z motor is rumbling now when it supost to be moving (not when at a stop)it seems to be fighting to move but won't move at all.

    See where you got the name, sounds to me as if motor is wired incorrectly double check your wiring or post some pics of motor and driver with motor and driver details.

    you need to give more information, without more information, it is unlikely anyone will know how to help you.

    What about the wires between driver and stepper? Is each phase wired up correctly? It can damage the driver if incorrect or direct short. Are they series or parallel ?

    This must have been done for a reason and will have included some changes, otherwise there was no reason to do it.
    Providing these details will help, otherwise you'll have to wait until the forum crystal ball comes back from repair ;-)

    As I said check the wiring, no point in going to the right pins without creating a circuit. I'm funny!
