    Hello, This my first time post at this forum. Let's go to see my design first and this was the 3rd machine i design , the other 2 model you can see it at my blog --> iD2CNC.com

    For dual Y axis --> iD2CNC v.2.0 (Dual Y Axis)
    For single Y axis --> iD2CNC v.1.0

    Start with my design ::










    iD2CNC-SS Machine v.1.0 Specification (65cm x 45cm x 15cm , XYZ) ::
    – Machine working area 650mm x 450mm.
    – Machine size 1,050mm x 800mm x 750mm (width (X) x length (Y) x height (Z)).
    – Linear rod rail size 16mm (RM1605/RM1610) for all axis.
    – Ball screw 16mm (RM1605/1610) for all axis.
    – Use standard ball screw support BK/BF12 , FK/FF12.
    – Aluminum frame use aluminum alloy 5083 10mm & 12mm.
    – Design using metric unit (mm).

    iD2CNC-SS Machine v.1.0 Specification (65cm x 65cm x 15cm , XYZ) ::
    – Machine working area 650mm x 650mm.
    – Machine size 1,050mm x 1,000mm x 750mm (width (X) x length (Y) x height (Z)).
    – Linear rod rail size 16mm (RM1605/RM1610) for all axis.
    – Ball screw 16mm (RM1605/1610) for all axis.
    – Use standard ball screw support BK/BF12 , FK/FF12.
    – Aluminum frame use aluminum alloy 5083 10mm & 12mm.
    – Design using metric unit (mm).

    – Ball screw 16mm (RM1605/1610) for all axis.
    – Use standard ball screw support BK/BF12 , FK/FF12.
    – Aluminum frame use aluminum alloy 5083 10mm & 12mm.
    – Design using metric unit (mm).

    – Linear rod rail size 20mm (RM2005 / 2010) for X,Y axis.
    – Use standard ball screw support BK/BF12 , FK/FF15.
    – Aluminum frame use aluminum alloy 5083 10mm & 12mm & 15mm.
    – Design using metric unit (mm).

    Start assembly Y axis (Base)






    All aluminum was cut by cnc water jet.

    Thank you , this machine use for cut wood , acrylic , pvc , aluminum sheet.

    It looks good! I have not built my own router yet, still planning ;) So you have alot more experience thanks me, but have you tried to cut aluminium with this design? From what Ive read the tall thin gantry uprights are more suitable for wood and plastic? Best of luck to you!
