    Hi all

I have a VM30 Boxford milling machine and occasionally want to use it as a pillar drill. I've searched the internet and forums galore, but can't find a way of attaching a drill chuck to my VM.
Can this be done? If so, what do I need to buy to be able to do so?

I thought that this would be easy to find out, but apparently not. Hope you can help.

    Thanks folks
    Adrian

I'm not familiar with this machine but from what I can find online, is it a BT30 fitting ? If so you could look towards something like this :-

lhttp://www.lathes.co.uk/boxfordmiller/ says that the spindle is Int30.

    https://www.arceurotrade.co.uk/Catal...l-Chuck-Arbors sell ISO30 to JT3 arbors - add a suitable chuck:

and you're off to the races.
