As my epic build is almost finished and now occupies the whole garage, i have to tidy things up and make me a shed in front of it and most importantly a good working and welding bench. For future builds :-). I am tired of welding on the floor.
So after all day looking at welding benches i came up now with this.
Made from UPN100 /top and 100x100x3 rest . There will be some small extras not seen . All boxes/???/ shown are IKEA metal / 30euros each /6 drawers. I have one, its great. One by one will add them in the future.
All UPN slats will be bolted via M8 allen screws, small details made on the lathe or mill and welded so the screw fits there. the Slats change of place allows a great versatility so that all can expand to 2800mm if needed for a job
Not shown but there will be a kind of 1mm sheet so no crap goes down over the MIG, TiG ,Plasma and grinders .
What you say? How it looks . Any ideas.
Top will be 100kg, box will be 15 meters so more or less 250kg all of it empty, so ~250euro plus C02 and mig wire. I could may be even spend some 50euro more for 10mm plate and make all bolted together, so if needed could be disassembled easily, so total will be 350 euro if made like all included.
I could have made the top from UPN 60, same spacing /57mm/ and could save 40kg by that, but seems not worth it
Will make some contraptions for the dry Cut off saw, and similar to be mounted at side and table to be on the level with material cut.
PS. Will be on wheels /casters
