Thread: PCB Wizard to Mache3

Hi, I am doing a project to extend the usefulness of the free BBC Micro Bit computer, that they are giving away to one million children. To do this I need to make some PCB's. I have bought a 3030 engraving machine. The PCB layout program I am using is PCB Wizard pro which outputs Gerber and Nc files. My problem is how to convert these files to Gcode in order to run them in Mache3. I am running XP on the mill's computer. I do my composing on a Windows 10 computer.
The PCB Wizard recommend Kcam to convert the Gerber files to Gcode, but it will not run on Windows 10. I have tried several Gerber viewers and conversion programs but none work properly, if at all. The money is not available for expensive programs.
I would also like to know what the single pole socket is for on the 3040, next to the D25 socket. A contact probe ?.
I would appreciate any help I can get on this subject because it is holding up the project. Thank you ..... John Kent (UK)
