I own an Optimum BF46 Vario milling machine and planning to convert it to a CNC machine in the future. Before that I just wanted to add an axis motor and bought a M542 microstep driver and 57HS22-T step motor from Leadshine.

I just want to use the motor to move the X axis forward backward with variable speed. How can I build or buy a pulse generator to achieve that?

Thank you..

Thank you..How about something like this to play with. http://hobbycomponents.com/motor-drivers/537-pulse-pwm-generator-for-stepper-motor-drivers

That's what I'm looking for :)

I found the circuit at eBay also, which is cheaper. Tomorrow I'll decide which source is quicker and economic.

Thank you very much :)
