Buy from machsupport.com unlesss you particularly fancy buying local. It is just a file you put in the working directory so should not affect your settings.

They send you a link to download and give you a licence code

You'll get file named Lic.Dat file which you just drop in the main Mach3 folder. Keep Copy of it safe in another location just in case some thing happens to PC harddrive.
Also good idea to make copy of the XML file your using which as all your settings in same place.

If you buy from a third party vendor you will need to approach them should you ever need replacement of your license file,

Just to extend my thanks to Jim Dingus in Mach3 tech support. After losing my licence file (no! not too many points on it:whistle:) I got a download reference emailed to me within 24 hours. I had customised the licence via Mach3 support, so they had my details and could re-issue.
I will not go back to the original licence vendor as my barge pole won't reach Devon.
Cheers,
Rob
