Hi,

Is the ProTuner software for AM882 working on Windows 8.1? Or am I wasting my time..

I managed to install the software but cannot get it connected to the drive. I have tried both, the onboard serial port and a serial to USB converter, with no success.

Solved!

It is working.
I had a contact problem at the RJ11 connector.

Where do I get the lead? Or can I make one? Or should I open my driver package up lol and it'll be in with the AM882's I ordered?

I've read the manual already lol I was thinking I would need to make one but Zapp's prices I think just order one.

I didn't watch the video embarrassingly crap bandwidth at work was being idle.

I think the second one. Just give Garry a quick ring at Zapp.

I already tried that and they didn't seem to know but have emailed tech support at leadshire so hopefully will get an answer Monday as they've all gone home now in China.

I couldn't see a pinout in the manual otherwise I'd just hack a cable together but the price of the cable from zapp is cheap enough the delivery will be considerably more lol. I have accessed for the pinout if they respond I'll have a goat making my own and post the results ;)

I gave you the pin out in post #5 simple to make you might have to swap tx and rx around

I found a cable with the RJ11 connector from an old phone and connected the three wires to a RS232 to USB cable adapter. Worked perfectly.

I am also used to connect the cable to RJ plugs by hammering the contacts using a small screwdriver shaped to fit the contacts :)

Ah I totally missed that thanks!

Looking at that pin out 6p4c connectors should do it

and just hack the end off an rs232 lead I might even have my old rs232 mouse lol but would be a shame it's from my 486.
