I recently was able to acquire a Kress 1050, it is what they call a milling motor and it came with a single 8mm collet. I am trying to find out which kind of ER collet it requires since the included manual is very poor in documenting this.
I took some measurements of the 8mm collet and the lenght is 26mm with an OD of 14.6mm. Looking at the ER16 collet spec it shows a lenght of 27mm and OD of 17mm close but not a match in my opinion.
Seeking advice or information on which kind of ER collets I would need for this kind of tool.
Thanks for your time and reply.

Kress collets are special to Kress and are not equal to any of the ER series.
I think Lester Caine has some of the cheapest spares.

Note though that he will be away from tomorrow [ Thursday] until Sunday at the Bristol Model Engineering show.

I got my collets for the kress from routout cnc, arrived within 2 days of ordering. You will have to google them because I am using my phone for internet at the moment and its a pain in the arse.
John may well be right with his suggestion for cheap collets as he normally is! But at least you have another option if you need it..

I brought a few collets for my Kress FM800 from a company called Sorotec, allthough they are based in Germany, only used them once but seem ok.
Just another option.
