Hello together,

I would like to introduce you to my new project.
I call it "Solar Sphere".
It's an almost wearfree rotating sphere.
Because of magnets on the shaft and the substructure, it is able to float.

1 Hour of sunlight is enough to rotate the sphere for 2,5 days.
It took me 3 month to plan and build this construction.

So i would be glad, if you watch my video and tell me your opinion.
Have fun

Looks pretty, but why bring up "perpetual motion" in the video?
I know you said it is not perpetual motion but "is close".

That is like saying a solar cell and a small DC motor hocked to a small battery is "close" to perpetual motion xD

Not bashing but just seams odd?

Nice project reminds me of a flywheel on magnetic bearings in a vacuum.

Perpetual Motion is a What?

"On our planet we can only try to get as close as possible to this phenomenon"

Perpetual Motion is not a Phenomenon, in this reality, with the Prevailing laws of Physics, Perpetual Motion is a total fantasy and the preserve of the uneducated, cod-scientist and utter nut-job.

Dear CNC friends,
rom my experiences of the last years, I have now built the final version of the SolarSphere.

SolarSphere 4.0
The advantages over the Model 3.0 are:
The drive (including lighting and loading module) as well as the substructure and the sphere are independent modules.
The sphere is made of polycarbonate and therefore insensitive to external influences.
The new rotor design eliminates the need for balancing.
The lighting is variable (the LEDs are plugged in and can be replaced by other coloured ones at any time).
Electricity consumption has been reduced by 80%.
The charging module (including USB connection) shows the operating status of the Lipo battery visually.
The magnetic bearing is stabilized and makes the rotor insensitive to vibrations.
These changes significantly reduce costs and production time.
SolarSphere 4.0: W=212mm D=148mm H=176mm

How it works is explained in the video down below.

YouTube SPAM then!
I stopped watching and disliked your video when you alluded to Perpetual Motion being "Something we can't achieve here", it's something no one can achieve anywhere in our reality because it's utter bollocks!

Thanks Wolfram,

I like what you have shown here, and imagine you will market it as a kind of "Executive Toy"?

Dear CNC Community,

After talking about this topic long enough,
I finished the project „SolarSphere“ with the following video.
Thank you very much for your interest and patience.
And now enjoy my very last video about the
ever-rotating „SolarSphere 4.0“
