Right,
Some may have seen my thread with regard to the driver issue for my PC and not being able to get a driver for it..

Well, rather than invest £100 on a UC100 and then end up with the same machine I was thinking of spending some more and do a complete upgrade of the board..

So what is the best controller out there?

I currently have a 30 x 40 what may well be a Chinese import but I don't really know how to tell the difference.

I will get some pics later but wanted to pick a few brains before progressing further.

Have you considered a stand alone controller?

I'm open to any suggestions.

I'm playing with a DDSC V2.1 at the moment but I'm not at the point to review it yet.

I'm playing with a DDSC V2.1 at the moment but I'm not at the point to review it yet.

I'm open to any suggestions and what the best options and flexibility really.

I have a Cohesion C3D mini which may get used for it in the short term. Also have a Rudia controller which may be an option for my laser and free up the C3D..

I'm used to the control gear but never had much to do with CNC programs and not researched it enough to get to know it all.

I need to understand the UI and what it needs as I have tended to use open source software but have brought the Mach3 to operate this machine. That seems like it's not going to operate it and may be a waste anyway..

Having spent the money I have already o don't want to spend loads more and find I'm going to keep putting in to get a machine to work..

Would sooner replace the whole thing and go from there.

But again, want to know what's the best way forward and get it sorted once and for all..

Is this the controller you was talking of.

That's the model, but mine was around £100 less than that and included an MPG pendant.

Thanks for the heads up..

Yes I have found some cheaper, with MPG as well. (But do I really need the MPG ?)

Still looking and researching..

When you have tested it be interested in the review.
