Hi,

Looking to bring home a Bridgeport Interact mill. It has been split, the main body structure is one piece, any idea of rough weight of this?

Thanks

Chaz, you will need to say which interact it is, there are different sizes.

Sorry, I believe Interact 1, Series II.

This is a pic of it without the table etc.

Wow, it's only when you see it like that you realise what a solid construction such machines have :chuncky:

Ironically they are considered 'OK' but not that rigid.

I am only guessing here Chaz and going by experience. I think you would have to allow at least 1.5 ton or 1500 kilos minimum with this machine as is stripped... As i say though it is only crude guidance going by experience.

You could search about and see of any dealers have one for sale, they will probably have a pretty accurate idea.

I hope you are well Chaz?

I have the exact machine and let me just say, it will not fit in a small van and a flatbed will be needed or get a company to pick it up for you.
Its at least 1.5 ton.

Thanks. This is what we will be using.

We will have a forklift on the collection side and on my side a 1.5 Ton Engine Hoist (and my 1 Ton which isnt working well).

Thanks Gary and Scott and yes, all good thanks. I should come and pop around to you next week if you are around?

Is the forklift a fancy model which reads out the weight ?

I was thinking you might want to run a Christmas guess-the-weight competition with a box of Quality Street for the winner.

Won’t be me by the sounds of it as I was going to say ~800 kg !

Your engine hoist is rated at 1.5 tons at max boom extension?
