Hi all, I'm looking to take my first steps into the world of DIY CNC.

I'm pretty savvy with 3D printing so the MPCNC lowrider has caught my eye. I've already got a suitable board and motors, but I'm looking for help with the CNC cut parts.

https://shop.v1engineering.com/collections/lowrider-parts/products/lowrider-cnc-flat-parts

Shipping from the US is a killer and I know I could simply hand cut these, but being as it's my first CNC project, I don't want to risk inaccuracies causing headaches when I get to building.

Wondering if a CNC veteran might be willing to cut and ship (or I would be happy to collect if in the north west) the 3 required parts (willing to pay for materials and time).

it requires 2 identical parts in 1/2″ PLY/MDF and 1 part cut from 1/4″ PLY/MDF.

I'm getting stuck in with the 3D printing side, and if someone could help me out with this, it would give me a huge boost on my CNC journey.

Cheers.

Do you have drawings for the parts you need cut? That link just points to them being on sold on line.

Deadpoolsdog,

How is your Lowrider working out for you?

I'm getting close to needing to get cutting for a couple of sailing/rowing boat projects which I've previously cut by hand but being able to cut 8x4 sheets accurately would be a real gamechanger for me.

Any feedback you have on the system overall would be super useful for me and hopefully some other people.

I've seen lots of videos on YouTube and I think it will do the job perfectly for me but any feedback you have would help validate it further for sure.

Particularly ony updates / mods you have made or think would be ueseful.

Hi Clive,

I tried printing the 3d parts but they are too flexible. Any chance you could cut the 2 x Y_Plate_25mm.DXF cut in 1/2"

I'm in Liverpool but will travel to Manchester. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

I've based mine on this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ixkoNZFQb0 it will give you a good idea.

Still need my Y plates though as the 3d printed ones are rubbish.
