I had another nasty accident just now involving a mouse which will result in a used 200W servo drive and motor making its way here from South Korea shortly.

Obviously the drive doesn't have its original Molex connectors for the mains and motor cables. Although they are from Molex Japan, they seem to be a proprietary part number for these drives.

Anyone know of compatible connectors that would fit? Thought it might be worth asking, as I can't find any on ebay or anywhere....

Here's the relevant page from the manual showing what they look like. They are a 7.5mm pitch round pin thing. 2 flavours include a spring (tool-free) version and a crimp version.

Officially I need a 3 pin and a 7 pin, although any number would do so I could cobble something up from them.

I guess we've hit the same brick wall - Molex identify the connectors as obsolete, without any alternative listed. have you tried contacting the seller to see if he has the looms available?

No I had a look at the various sites and they were either ruinous or had nothing for those connections but I've got some 7.5mm pitch connectors that look vaguely possible. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IMO-20-960M-10-PCB-10-way-Clamp-Modular-7-5mm-pitch-5-pieces-i175B-MBB011a/250976791047?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

I managed to find all the other connectors at Farnell (PC, encoder and IO). If the worst comes to the worst, I will solder wires to the pins. I only paid £80 for the drive and it's going to be inside the cabinet. Besides, I have no pride and have a life to live. We'll have to see how this works out.....

Perfectly sensible approach, tbh.

The only half-way house I could suggest is to get the mating connector and try to replace on the PCB. But, yeah, sometimes life is too short.

For future reference, I now have the drive itself, as well as various connectors. I can now confirm that these parts are what you need for most of the Yaskawa Sigma Servopack drives. Mine's a Servopack III, BTW. Yes, it is missing its cover, which is why it cost £80!

Mains and motor connector(s):
IMO Precision 20.960M series or Camden Boss CT9400 series (7.5mm pitch PCB connectors). I got some 10 way connectors and cut them to give a 7 way and a 3 way. I didn't waste any connectors or compromise the insulation in the process, as there is a gap between ways. You could manage with one 10-way connector - luckily I got 5. Farnell no longer stock them but you can find them on ebay etc.

Hope that comes in handy for someone at some point.
