Hi , i have just started using a rye twin head cnc router , I’ve not much experience with it and was after advice on setting the depth of the cutter. The control panel on the machine is a omicron 3000.
1. First of all I went into the ‘toolbox ‘on the panel ,
2. M/attr
3 .lenth dia
4.head select.
5 this will lower the head (3)
6 back to lenth dia
7 this now will show ‘ tool 3 L/ offst
8 I now use the left hand buttons to lower the head to required height , then press F1 to set the height.
It will set now to the Z depth .
9 I now press esc and the Z depth has went back to 1500,

So I can’t seem to change the depth from the control panel . I’m sure I’m just missing something out . Any advice on how to do this .

Hi Sean,

Can you tell me which software you are using?

And is your pc connected to the controller via an rs232 serial lead.

Thanks Derek
