Hi - I'm a designer with a small exhibition design company. We have been outsourcing our CNC needs for a few years and can see the benefits of bringing our production in-house. We are talking about cutting relatively small (all smaller than A3) flat panels for small products. I need to be able to profile cut dibond, hylite, High Impact Polystyrene and possible thin ply (sheet materials usually 3 to 6mm but maybe occasionally thicker ply). I'm running a Mac-based system and would ideally like a machine that is compatible, though that is not critical (I'd buy a PC laptop if needed). So, to my question. As a complete novice to the world of running CNC machines, who is considered to be making the best table-top machines at the moment? Any ideas on specific models and experiences shared would be greatly appreciated. Budget I guess somewhere between £1500 - £2000. Thanks all. Looking forward to hearing any ideas / advice. Cheers. Mac
