highly likely to be a knocked off version but appears to load and open just fine.

Um I assume so yes, where would I find such file?

I think they e-mail the licence file as each uc100 is tied to its own licence file and cannot be used with any other uccnc software. Licence can be bought but for 55 euros.
if it does come with licence I would deffinately take it

actually I just noticed you have a laptop so most likely it will be on that, watch this video and have a look if it has the licence file.

Will take a look tomorrow.

I just downloaded the uc100 software on my own laptop, plugged it in and it worked. Didn't need any license file to work with mach3

In that case the license file must be installed on the laptop. where about are you based in the uk?
