Hi guys, I've just got a boxford TUD lathe.
I believe it's a training lathe about 1951-2.
Other markings on it are
DEH 3656/1/36. Inside of bed
TUD 28967. On the sliding part of the bed
1545. On opposite side of bed to above
What I'm after is any instruction manuals out there, and any way to confirm age or date if manufacture.
It came from a school and is in very good condition, also what accessories are out there and where to get them from.
lastly does anyone still make the enamel paint for it?
Thanks in advance, and I apologise if I put this post in the wrong place.
Cheers

A wealth of information here Merlin
http://www.lathes.co.uk/boxford/page10.html

Along with info on just about any lathe you might wish to know about.

Seems to offer a route to a manual too

Yes I've looked on there but apart from telling me some history of boxford and year of manufacture, that's all.
I was hoping someone could tell me what the other markings mean and wether I can get instruction manuals etc.... For itthanks for replying tho.

Page has links to a Manual download .
I didnt try it .
Tony used to scan and sell manuals but now seems to be making these available through a 3rd party site .
Tony is an amenable guy and it may be worth a phone call to him .
