So, in 2013, I sought advice about a VFD from this venerable forum.

(here's the thread - https://www.mycncuk.com/threads/6533-800w-spindle-noise-controlling-remotely )

....in the end I bought a Toshiba TOSHIBA VF-NC3S-2007PL, unboxed it, put it in a cupboard (pending me buying a water cooled spindle - which I never did!)...it's never been used. I'm having a clear out so putting this up for sale.

current new price is about £160 + VAT delivered ( https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255714701494 ....seller is in Italy, so VAT will be applied as it enters the UK), therefore over £190 inc VAT. Looking for £100 delivered

UPDATE: 10 Jun 2024 - now ***SOLD****

Only thing to mention is (I think) a panel covering the wire terminals has gone missing.3222732228322293223032231322323223332234

Hi Hank
I have very little electrical knowledge so perhaps other members of the forum may be able to help, But i believe that after standing for 10Years the Capacitors will need reforming.
I was offered a VFD from a friend when i was trying to get my lathe fixed(with the help of a couple of very nice chaps on the forum) and did a little research, Just Google it.
Hope that hasn't ruined your day.
Kindest Regards
Mike

Another method of reforming which I have used successfully is to connect a variac (variable transformer) to the normal mains input, switch on, and gradually increase the voltage in say 50V steps from 50V up to maximum rated input voltage over say 8 hours. This is fine if you have a variac, I happened to have one gathering dust and swarf under a bench!
