Going by the socket mounted ICs (most probably all optos), I'm going to guess that it's not something recent.
It's also something reasonably well specced, as it's got protection diodes (most probably zeners to protect for overvoltage) on the stepper outputs, although I'm going to guess it'll be the older TB chips under the heatsink.

The lack of any Chinese text, I'd guess it's probably something of US origin.
