Which bits are you talking about here - the whole kit? Precision Matthews is a US importer of Chinese machine tools and Masso is an Australian manufacturer of CNC controllers that have been developing their product for some years now - it looks as if they are finally close to having a usable product. Clearpath is a US supplier of integrated servo motors and drivers. I assume that Clough was gifted most of the parts needed ("sponsored by PM"), which must have saved a hefty bill but it looks like a jolly jape.

I'm not aware of any UK outfit offering turnkey conversion kits but the basic machine is about £4-5k, the Masso kit looks like about £1500, the Clearpaths are perhaps £500 each (x3), the PM ballscrews etc another £1000 or so, then there are the myriad other little bits required to get it all connected up and working. You can probably order direct from the US, Australia etc but you will get shafted on the way in for tax, duty and "admin costs", so the US dollar price can probably be converted to £ at 1:1. For that kind of money you could probably get yourself a new or nearly new Tormach 440 or a used industrial machine.

Most of us in these forums will either update or convert an existing manual or cnc machine and save a load of money in the process, money we otherwise wouldn't have the stomach to cough up. Be aware that, like many Youtube heros, Clough speaks with great authority yet has limited visible means of support....
