I have an XSY AT2 frequency converter that is supposed to drive a 500-watt drill column.

Drill column, TBD 500/2005
230 V, 50 Hz, 500 watts, 1440 rpm.

How should I configure this on the frequency converter? The drill column only runs at max. frequency 50 Hz.

From what I can see the drill already has 12 speeds set by the belt and pulleys. Though the inverter you have has single phase output which is rare the type of motor on the drill, a single-phase induction motor, will probably not give very good performance over a wider range of speeds. I suggest that you ignore the inverter and just run the drill from the mains, adjusting the speed as necessary by changing the belt position on the pulleys. If you must try the inverter consult the manufacturer's instructions.

Yes, you're right, it's just a matter of changing the belts. But since I'm going to replace the lathe motor with a 3-phase motor, and therefore won't need the controller anymore, I thought... let's give it a try. Once the belts are off, it works just fine.
