Hi Guys
I'm planning to convert my manual Sieg SX2 mill (from arceurotrade). Having read round these forums and other sites I think I've got a rough idea of whats required.
I'm just planning on 3 axes.
Initially I want to use the original leadscrews (for x/y)
I envisage mainly milling aluminium, maybe some light work in mild steel.
I'm thinking Nema23 steppers at about 2 - 3Nm will be OK.
Before I start spending, could anyone comment on these kits or suggest alternatives?
http://www.diycnc.co.uk/html/cnc_systems.html system4c enclosed unit kit
http://www.rhonmac-cnc.co.uk/ Kit EX23-5
http://www.worldofcnc.com/cnc-controllers/controller-kits-c-344_388.html
http://www.zappautomation.co.uk/cnc-driver-kit-three-axis-p-364.html?cPath=139_33
Does anyone sell the electronics/motors prewired and fitted in an enclosure?
Apologies if I've posted to the wrong forum or asked excessively dumb questions!
Cheers
Ian
