Hi all,
I have been doing 3d printing for a while, I felt the urge to get into some CNC! My day job is writing embedded software for motor drives in vacuum pumps, so hobby-wise I tend to spend more time writing software than making stuff. Probably just as well, I don't have a proper workshop.
I have just got one of the cheapo Chinese 3020 machines, but have not tried cutting anything yet. I'm not even sure how to generate Gcode for it, for printing I use Skeinforge but now I need to subtract, not add!
Anyway, I hope to learn from you guys who do real engineering ;)
Cheers,
bobc
