port needed out of comp

Just ordering some parts for the comp which will run the cnc when its built and jazz told me the port i will need out of pc (but i have now forgot ) when i need to remember ?
is it a paralel port and i know that cannot be spelt right ?

If your Breakout board needs a parallel connection and you don't have a printer port on the back of your computer (magenta 25pin female D) then you can get a PCI card which will give you two. I run Mach3 using one of the outputs and it is OK. http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/product.aspx?code=IO-PPRINT2

Check that you have a spare PCI slot though !!
