 Installation canceled...what to do ?
 ------------------------------------
It is possible to copy the individual files onto your hard disk
if the program was not installed correctly onto your computer

 Proceed as follows:

 1. Make a directory on the destination drive,
     e.g. c:\>md pcnc

 2. Change to the new directory
     c:\>cd pcnc

 3. Copy all the files from the diskette
     c:\pcnc>copy a:*.*
     or copy b:*.*

 4. Work with PC-NC in the new directory as you would
following an automatic installation. For example,
you can start the demo correctly.

 PC-NC under MS-Windows
 ------------------------
Unfortunately, the full functionality of PC-NC is not available
under MS-Windows. It is impossible to generate step frequencies and
control the interface in the required manner under MS-Windows. Please
quit your running Windows and start again in DOS-Mode.

Changes in the current version not described in the manual
 ----------------------------------------------------------
There is no manual of the version 3.01 available. Instead we
deliver the manual of the former version 2.80. All new functions
are explained by detail in the online help.

 The most important changes are...
 - improved clock signal generation and better and soother movements
 - no need to define system clock and timing parameters
 - full 3D functionality by using G code programs
 - support of automatic bit changers
 - bit length measurements and length difference compensation
 - additional tool HPGL-Opti to prepare the job and calculate
a radius compensation with HPGL files
 - support of a pneumatic or electric molette
 - integrated editor for creating or modifying NC data files o batch jobs
 - and much more...

 Known problems
 --------------
Printer ports on notebook computers or on-board ports
 -----------------------------------------------------
The electrical characteristics of the parallel ports in some notebook
and laptop computers are rather poor. It may only be possible to apply
a few milliamps to the outputs. Consequently, problems or irregularities
may be experienced in outputting the clock and direction signals or
 the additional signals.

Similar problems have been reported in individual cases with on-board
ports as well. In this case, the parallel port is located on the
motherboard. A possible solution is to fit an extra port on a PC plug-in
card and to operate PC-NC via this port. Plug-in cards of this type
can normally be obtained from computer stores at a reasonable price.
