Selling my Jazz JZR 9060 built by Dean complete with a steel fabricated stand also made by him which he fitted with castors

It was bought in 2022 and has only had light hobbyist use for a couple of years. Doing some engraving and 3D profiling and for the rest of the time it has been in storage. I moved from London to Dorking and had to build myself a new workshop. It is powered by a decent Dell laptop.

The XY travel is 960x715 and the Z about 150. It is in perfect working order and cuts square and accurately. I also have an Axminster Vortex dust extractor which is ducted to the machine to be sold separately. Other workshop equipment being sold are a Laguna Fusion 2 table saw and a Jet drum sander.

You are welcome to trial or test it in Dorking, Surrey as it is all up and running. Also I have some new and used tooling to be sold separately.

Access is good and a truck can be backed up my double garage doors with no lift out of the workshop. I can’t do much to help in the way of lifting (back issues) but I can arrange and cost transport within the UK if required. It is big and heavy and the truck will need a power lift.

I would like £3750 for it and can supply photos and we can discuss details by phone. Contact me initially by email or message me.

I have listed it on other platforms too.

Thanks for viewing,

FOR SALE: Optimum BF46

Hello,

Hello,

After a lot of thinking about how much I actually use it, I’ve decided to sell my CNC milling machine. I am keeping the wall-mounted control box and the servo motors to upgrade another machine, so this is up for grabs as a bare mechanical roller.

The machine is an Optimum BF46 converted to CNC by Mobasi in Germany. It’s fitted with a pneumatic powered drawbar and a one-shot oiler system, and I’ll include the custom splash guard I made for it (though it’s easily unbolted if you don't want it).

While the servo motors will be harvested, I am leaving all the custom machined belt reduction housings on the machine. This means you just need to bolt on your own motors and hook up a controller to get it cutting. The original factory head-mounted speed/direction box is still intact too, so you can run the spindle manually right away.

Because everything is still fully wired up right now, you are welcome to come and see it moving under power to verify the screws and ways are healthy before buying. Once you are happy, it takes me minutes to unbolt the servos.

Price is £1,250. The machine is located near Cambridge. I no longer have any heavy lifting gear or an engine cranes, so the buyer will need to handle 100% of the extraction, lifting, and transport (it's a heavy beast at around 480kg and sits in a fairly tight corner, so bring skates and a crane).

Drop me a PM if you're interested or want to arrange a viewing.

FOR SALE: Vertical 8x4 CNC Router

Hi all, I’m selling my 8x4 vertical CNC router, which I designed and built with guidance from Jonathan and Jazz CNC.

The machine was completed in 2015 and used for around two years in my CNC woodworking business. It performed reliably during that time and ultimately funded my move to an industrial CNC in 2017. Since upgrading, this machine has been unused and partially disassembled for storage (gantry removed, control box and PC disconnected).

When it was decommissioned in 2017, the router was in full working order. However, as it hasn’t been powered up since, I’m selling it as seen and cannot guarantee current working condition. I’m also unsure whether the original Mach3 PC is still available. The buyer should be comfortable with CNC setup and commissioning, as it will require reassembly and configuration.

This would suit someone looking for a solid DIY machine with good bones, or a project to recommission and put back into service.

Specs:

8x4 working bed

Near-vertical configuration

Overall size: approx. 3000mm (L) x 800mm (D, excluding gantry) x 1900mm (H)

2.2kW water-cooled spindle

Rack and pinion drive on X axis (dual drive)

Ballscrews on Y and Z

4 stepper motors (2 on X)

Custom-built control box (approx. 75V) with PMDX control board

Mach3 control with variable spindle speed

Vacuum bed with 2 x 4ft x 4ft zones

Vacuum pump included

Assorted collets

I’ve held onto this machine longer than I should have for sentimental reasons, but it’s time for it to go to someone who will get it set up again and make use of it.

Open to offers and happy to answer questions or provide more details/photos.

Now sold. ****

Hi everyone. Decided to part ways with my router- it's just sat in my poor mothers garage taking up space for the last 6 months, and it looks a bit unloved. Unfortunately I don't have space for it really, and I use it infrequently (last used around a year ago). It was built my Dean/jazzcnc around 2014, so- believe it or not, that's about 12 years ago now. I'm located in the exquisite city of Doncaster, South Yorkshire, DN4, near the Doncaster Dome and Doncaster Wildlife Park.

The good:
-it's been pretty lightly used, for the first 5 years I'd estimate it was used 100 hours per year typically, and since then probably only about 10 hours a year, so I'd estimate the total usage time at around >600 hours.
-it runs fine, I've not properly used it in the last 12 months but it's been under a sheet in a water tight space
- it feels really solid, nothing notable obviously wrong or going wrong to my knowledge, Dean spent quite some time making this custom build machine for me.
-it's more compact than most, the cutting area is about 60x40cm, the machine itself is about 85 long and 60 wide. I think the Z axis has about 15cm on it, from memory.
-I'm honest and easy to deal with, I don't mind offers of getting some money up front and some after if you have it collected and are happy.
- i recall the bill going up £200 for a nicer motion controller card which uses ethernet. (the clip on the computer side of the cable has broke, but find me one that hasnt!)

The bad:
-I don't really know what I'm talking about, feel free to ask me but I've lost the original emails with details and my router knowledge is minimal.
- I had to fiddle with the VFD as I don't understand the settings at all, though it's fine (except I lost the screws for the cover somehow, even though I'm that guy that obsessively puts them in a small tub whilst working on anything). Skim read this thread please, and also the photos there are pretty good. https://www.mycncuk.com/threads/1124...mental-spindle
- the fan in the controller box doesn't spin, it doesnt really need it imo as I've never felt it get hot- I think it's a simple job of re-soldering the wires anyway if you want it on.
- although I'm honest and easy to deal with, I really DON'T want "tyre kickers". I want zero fuss for my mum or myself- my ideal is a few strong blokes come and grab it and transport it safely away to its new home. I understand there's more risk in this for the buyer, but feel free to just adjust your offer accordingly- a simple transaction with less money involved will be my preference over anything where I've got to have you round for tea whilst we figure how were going to squeeze this giant machine into your immaculate 1994 Toyota Supra with your bad back. Just because it's smaller than many machines it's still extremely heavy and cumbersome.

The ugly:
- my photography skills are terrible it turns out. If you need to ask me about any pics I've slapped a little red number towards the top left of each for reference.
- the various patches you see on the machine, especially near the buttons on the front, these are from a 2 part resin that I used to use in the vicinity, and unfortunately the occasional drip or splash has caught it and left a yellowish slightly oily mark. Some will definitely come off with wire wool, but if you've a beautiful studio like the magazines then you're going to have to put some time in to get it pretty.
