I have a stock chinese 3040 and now I'm looking to get a laser engraver too.
Because I have limited space and want to upgrade the machine anyway I am looking for the best solution to add a laser to the router.
Wanna keep the steppers and the frame and fabricate a new spindle-laser mount.
My plan for the electrics:
Arduino GRBL + CNC shield + 3 Drivers (A4988 or DRV8825) + Spindle Kress 1050 (I don't need VFD) + 2500mW Laser modul with TTL/PWM
In theory with a G code sender like GRBL controller I would use a router while the laser is off.
And with a laser engraving software I could use the lases while the spindle is off.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
All suggestions are welcomed.
