New member in Staffordshire

Hi,
I have joined this site as I am wanting to purchase a new mill for hobby use in the garage, and am considering the options of future conversion to CNC.

I first need to choose the right mill, then determine what is achievable in a hobby CNC mill, and the costs involved.
At the moment I know nothing about CNC machines.
The closest I have come is building a couple of 3D Printers: A Prusa I3 from a kit, then using this to build a CBOT CoreXY printer.

I would also be keen to contact anyone in the Shropshire/Staffordshire area with a CNC mill (Seig SX2.7/SX3, Warco Major or similar) who could offer me some assistance.
