Introducing Myself

Hi everyone

I joined the forum because I have decided to build a cnc router. After having surfed the web looking for information I found this site to be one of the most useful.

I am an IT manager by day and in my spare time I enjoy lots of hobbies including electronics, photography, computing and making stuff. I have an engineering background (Machine Tool Maintenance). I enjoy fabricating things out of steel and am a reasonably compitant welder.

Apart from the usual tools I have a MIG and a stick welder. I did have an Oxy-Acetaline set but have recently returned to bottles to BOC as I very rarely used them and could find a better use for the £120 pond a year rental. , a Floor standing drill press. I hope to get hold of a small lathe in the near future.
