rotary vane pump pre-filter?

Hi there,

I'm making up a wee 1200mm x 600mm vac table. I bought a Robinair 6cfm vacuum pump but I should filter the air going into the pump to stop wood particles going into the pump.

I've got filters on my compressor air lines I'm wondering if that type of filter would d or do people have a better suggestions?
