Chinese TPR-1325
Hi all,
I've got a 8'x4' router with no manual or no knowledge about the machine.
It connects to the computer with a 15 pin connector (DB-15). Tried running it on the Mach3 software but it seems I have no connection at all.
I would like to change the control card to a USB or ethernet connection but I have no clue what to look for.
The machine has 4 of the DMA860H steppen drives installed if that's any help?
Any suggestions on what board to replace it with?

Re: Chinese TPR-1325
I'm going to guess that it's originally had one of the handheld/pendant self-contained controllers that's connected directly to that (very basic!) breakout board.
I'd start with working out what the existing wires do.
The step/dir wiring looks like it's already labelled, although it would be good to know if they've simply paired the twin axis together, rather than run it as a master/slave pair.
What voltage is available at the breakout board?
It would also be good to see what's connected to the VFD, to see how they've implemented that.
It should be a relatively easy retrofit to another controller, but I'd recommend that you add an E-stop controlled contactor, and I'm guessing you'll need to add a 24VDC (and possibly a 5VDC) power supply for the new controller.

Re: Chinese TPR-1325
Hi guys,
I've taken the advise of m_c and added an USB controlled breakout board and an extra 24VDC power supply.
Tried to hook it up and got the drivers and limit sensors working, however the spindle doesn't seem to respond in Mach3.
The Chinese VFD leaves me puzzled as the only manual I can find is not for this model (FC300-4.0G-S2-B4C).
I'm hoping someone on here can shed some light on how to connect it to control the speed in Mach3.

Re: Chinese TPR-1325
What are the terminal numbers on the VFD that the wires are connected to?
Green will be X1, which is an input, and I'd guess is used to switch the spindle on.
What are Yellow, Red, and Blue terminals?
Can you post a photo of the complete controller that you have fitted, or a link to where you bought it from?
