Getting toolpath to work with a cheap RS485 PCI card

Hi,
AXYZ want 545 for the USB adapter now but I have a pci RS485 card

AXYZ claim it won't work

But I read other people getting other devices to work with the software

Can I get it to work with the PCI card? Or a cheaper USB alternative adapter?

And where is the RS485 port on the machine to connect to?

Will buy Toolpath today I just want to check the machine is all good first before I bite the bullet
