3.2kw BT30 Spindle and SU-600 Inverter E0L2 error
Good Morning all
I`m very new to the VFD stuff and I`m facing an issue with E0L2 when trying to accelerate the spindle.
The spindle in question is is 3.2kw BT30 Chineese spindle 4 pin 12000rpm
The VFD is SU-600 https://eshop.frelion.cz/wp-content/.../03/SU-600.pdf model SU600-3R7G2 3.7kw
What i`ve changed so far on the VFD is the way it is being controlled (0-10V) F0.03
Then in group F4:
F4.00 = 3.2kw
F4.01 = 220v
F4.02 = 7A
F4.03 = 50hz - could not change that. The spindle i think is 400hz but documentation is rather poor.
F4.04 = 9999rpm
The error i get is E0L2 is motor overload basically during the start. the spindle starts to spin and the cuts out with this error.
Any one expierinced anything like that?
All wired correctly. (checked at least 3 times)
Thanks for any help.

Re: 3.2kw BT30 Spindle and SU-600 Inverter E0L2 error
F4.03 frequency should correspond to the F4.04 rpm. What you seem to have told the VFD is that at 50Hz output, the motor will be spinning at 9999rpm. That wouldn't work.
I note that F0.04 is the max frequency, whereas F4.04 is the rated frequency. For a 4 pole 50Hz motor, rated speed would be something like 1480rpm but you might allow it to be operated up to a higher speed eg 50% higher at ~2200rpm. So F4.04 would be 50Hz and F0.04 would be perhaps 75Hz in that example.
You need to be able to set F4.03 to 400Hz really. It must be possible somehow.
If you can't enter a higher speed than 9999rpm, yet you need to run at 12000rpm, you might have to tell it that rated speed F4.04 is 9999rpm and the corresponding rated frequency is 333Hz. You can then achieve 12000rpm by setting a max frequency F0.04 of 400Hz.
The motor rated voltage that you enter should correspond to the rated speed at that voltage. These are the values typically given on the "nameplate" The stator will saturate and cause an overcurrent fault if you specify a higher voltage and a lower speed. That would be EOL2.
