Hi from Ipswich UK

Hi,

I joined this forum because I have a fascination with electronics and automation, and I am thinking about building some form of CNC type machine. I have successfully controlled a stepper motor from a PIC with my own code, which was fun, but now I want to build something mechanical.

Trouble is, I don't yet know what, and I need to solve this before shelling out on expehensive precison components.
