Had this sitting about for a good few years now, and I'm fed up hoarding stuff!
It's only ever been tested, where I found out it was slightly too high a voltage for the gecko drives I had at the time. From memory once ran through a bridge rectifier into a big capacitor it produced about 85VDC.
It originally came from RS - Buy Toroidal Transformers Transformer Toroidal 625VA 2x55V o/p Nuvotem 92442-P2S2 online from RS for next day delivery.
Looking for £35ono delivered.
Wind about 40 extra turns round it and connect to the original windings.
Measure and you will get either 50V or 60 v if 60v reverse the windings so it reads 50 then it's good for Gecko's [ hawk spit - ding ] or the 888 drivers from leadshine.
You can wind some turns on the core then connect them in series with the windings. If you connect them the right way (out of phase) the voltages will subtract and you can end up with the lower voltage required.
