Anyone got some 2.5D G-code please ?
I have a large piece of oak. I want to mill out a skull, face, or horse etc (something like that) something impressive. Max dimentions X=470 Y=300 W and Z= 110mm . Minimum hopefully above 100x100X60mm
Just to see what my machine is capable of, before I dive in and buy software such as "Vectric 3D".
Anything would be appriciated.
Re: Anyone got some 2.5D G-code please ?
You can download trial versions of all the vectric software for evaluation prior to buying & they all have sample files you can cut on your own machine, sorry don't have anything suitable myself as I'm really still trying to get set up properly.
Re: Anyone got some 2.5D G-code please ?
Thanks for your reply Martin. Its a shame that all the vectric sample files are cheesy. I need something worth doing to appriciate it.

meshcam
MeshCAM - CNC Software - CAD/CAM Software
15 day free trial , import a BMP and it`ll turn it into a 3D relief. Meshcam Art is included in the trial and gives you more control over modelling.
Or find a free STL you like and import that:

Looking at it now Musht, thanks. Which one should I elvaluate ? standard or Art ?
Re: Anyone got some 2.5D G-code please ?
Think Art is included as part of trial , it allows bit more control over how it iterprets z-depth, its also twice the price to register.
