Ali rectangle tube 120 mm x 60 mm x 4mm / 5 mm looking for off cuts please :)

What I’m looking for is some Ali rectangle tube 120 mm x 60 mm x 4mm / 5 mm. If anyone has some off cuts I could have I will pay the for them of course and the postage, I don’t need a lot but the minimum length on AW is 2500 mm.

I use this place as they have a branch local to me:- metalweb, UK stockholder and processor of aluminium plate, bars, sheet, Birmingham, London, Manchester, Oxford
But I phoned them to ask the question and was told that it is industry standard only in 5 mtr lengths so AW must be cutting them in half. Clive

'kin 'ell, £14 with P&P for a 250mm length of ally box section?! I'd try my local scrap yard first. They'll have plenty of offcuts from the local fabrication firms.

Yep a think I will call in on the way to my mates tommorow first and ask them if they have some off cuts for £42 I could have 2.5 meters and flog the rest on ebay ! which even with my shit maths is £140 so I would make a profit and keep all I needed for the project lol !
